Meconium Drug Testing: discovered and developed by a Filipino

June 30, 2013 – The use of meconium in the testing the mother’s abuse of drugs during the course of pregnancy is pioneered by Dr. Enrique “Buddy” Ostrea, a Filipino medical doctor known for his researches in pediatrics.
